Verse 4.38

From Chapter 4 — Knowledge, Action and Renunciation

Original text

न हि ज्ञानेन सदृशं पवित्रमिह विद्यते। तत्स्वयं योगसंसिद्धः कालेनात्मनि विन्दति॥

Translation

“Nothing here purifies like knowledge. One matured in yoga finds it, in time, within themselves.”

Source — Bhagavad Gītā 4.38 (traditional Sanskrit text). English rendering by Frenly Divine — a working translation, not an authoritative one.

Understand

What it is saying

Explanation — written by Frenly Divine, not scripture

Knowledge in this line is not information that can be handed over. It is described as found, and as taking time — the opposite of instant insight.

Why it matters

It links the path of knowledge to practice rather than to study alone.
